Casa Mao Hotel - Amalfi

The stunning rooftop terrace provided amazing views of Amalfi, and Gianfranco's personalized recommendations for local attractions enhanced our experience.

The accommodation had a central location in a touristy area...

Everything went smoothly.

We were upgraded to suite on check in.

Consider bringing your own travel steamer, as there is only one iron for all guests.

We had fully renovated a double room with gates. Location: the hotel was next to the cliffs, Amalfi and the surrounding towns and villages, and the town square. We had goodies and coffee at Pasticceria Andrea Pansa, it was located near the venue.

we had a really nice stay, the hotel was little, clean, with amazing location in the center. location: the venue was so close to the coast, the centre of amalfi, and an amalfi beach.

The view was decent, but given all those stairs, i expected at least a warm welcome or a complimentary bottle of champagne. I asked about a room upgrade due to all the dampness in my previous one, but was told it's 'not standard procedure'. I'm surprised i almost had good words for this place, but alas, i just couldn't.

Gianfranco was super nice and attentive, offering great local tips. Our room had fine views, and the terrace was perfect for mornings. There are lots of stairs, but the experience is totally worth it. Highly recommended!

The fine sea view from our suite was amazing! Gianfranco's helpfulness was unmatched. He provided valuable local insights and even assisted with our bags.

Be prepared for a tough climb, 150 steps to reach the hotel! The central air conditioning wasn't very effective during the heatwave.

The view was very nice and the location was central, close to beaches and restaurants. Gianfranco, our host, was super friendly and gave us awesome recommendations for local places to eat. I highly recommend exploring the Path of the Gods for amazing views and diving into the clear waters along the coast.

There's a bit of a hike with stairs to get to the hotel, which could be challenging for some guests.

The views from our suite were amazing, and the rooftop terrace was perfect for family evenings. Gianfranco, our host, was helpful, offering great local tips, like visiting the historic paper mill museum, a hit with the kids during our rainy day.

My kids wished there were more kid-friendly amenities available.

We had an awesome night here! The room was modern with very nice views of the sea and city. Gianfranco was so friendly and shared some cool local tips. Loved having breakfast on our terrace, but just a heads up, there are quite a few stairs to navigate to the hotel. Still totally worth it for the experience!

The suite boasted two private terraces with amazing views of the sea and mountains, a true highlight. Gianfranco was an excellent host, assisting us with tips on local attractions and even carrying our luggage up the many steps to reach the accommodation. While the climb to the hotel adds to its charm, it's not for everyone and could leave some guests breathless. Breakfast included good homemade cakes, perfect for enjoying on the terrace while soaking in the scenery.

Great location with amazing views! Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times.
